Firecoat Exterior
FIRECOAT Exterior is a high-performance, intumescent coating which has been certified and rated to WAL 40/BAL-40, which refers to a very high risk rating where the potential for ember attachment, burning debris and radiant heat exposure up to 40kW/m2 exists. At that temperature there is a likelihood of direct flame engagement. This is among the highest wildfire resistance ratings ever tested. It expands under heat to form a protective char layer, halting ignition and flame spread. BAL is the Bushfire Attack Level system which is a formalized building and construction rating. Can be used in its natural gray or applied as a primer with any water-based exterior topcoat.
